Israel names retired military general as new cyber security chief
Israel's cabinet on Sunday named retired military general Gaby Portnoy to head the country's National Cyber Directorate, the Prime Minister's Office said. 52-year-old Portnoy will head the country's main body charged with defending the cyberspace and ramping up its cyber strength. Portnoy served for 31 years in the armed forces before retiring as Brigadier-General of Israel Defense Forces.
