Israel PM Netanyahu's aide charged over classified document leak

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu's social media adviser Jonatan Urich was formally charged for leaking a classified document to a German newspaper in 2024. The charges alleged Urich leaked the document to justify Netanyahu's claim that Hamas was blocking a hostage deal. "Disclosure of the secret information...could cause real damage to Israel's security interests," the State Attorney's office said.
