Israel preparing to use laser weapon system amid Hamas war: Reports

Israel is set to deploy its laser weapon system, 'Iron Beam', to its active combat service for the first time amid the Hamas war, several reports have stated. Iron Beam is a directed-energy weapon air-defence system which was unveiled in 2014. The system fires a 100kW fibre laser up to a range of 10 km to destroy an airborne target.
