Israel regulator gives licence to set up new digital bank, 2nd in 3 yrs

Israel's banking regulator approved a conditional licence and control permit to an entrepreneurs' group to establish a new online bank named Esh Bank Israel. This is the second addition to the highly concentrated banking sector in three years. One Zero Digital Bank received approval for a full banking licence last January, becoming the first new Israeli bank in 43 years.
