Israel releases first Lebanese prisoner since conflict began

Israel released Lebanese civilian Malek Ghazi on Thursday, the first such handover since the Israel-Hezbollah conflict began six months ago. The ICRC facilitated the transfer in Tyre, Lebanon. Four more civilians are expected Friday. The release follows US-led mediation, with Lebanon assisting in locating bodies of Lebanese Jewish leaders abducted in the 1980s.
