Israel restricts entry of Palestinians into Al-Aqsa Mosque on 1st day of Ramadan

Israel reportedly put severe restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on the first day of holy month of Ramadan. Israeli authorities maintained that the entries will be allowed only through permits. An Al Jazeera report said that in previous years, up to 2,50,000 worshippers visited the holy site and 'now, only a fraction of that'.
