Israel's Mossad tried to recruit ex-Iran Prez Ahmadinejad as an intel asset: Report

Israeli intelligence agency Mossad for years tried to secretly groom former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as an intelligence asset and install him as Iran's leader, NYT reported. He was invited to Budapest in 2024 to meet Mossad's former head. Israel reportedly made several payments to his associates, while Mossad operatives took him to a secret safe house during US-Israeli strikes.
