Israel uses Iron Beam laser defence system in combat for 1st time, video surfaces

Footage circulating on social media appeared to show Israel's first operational use of the new Iron Beam laser air defence system, as Tehran-backed Hezbollah joined the war with Iran and launched rockets and drones from Lebanon. The clip shows the laser system intercepting a drone along the northern border overnight. The laser defence system was declared operational in September 2025.
