Israeli forces fire tear gas on worshipers at Al-Aqsa mosque

Israeli police fired tear gas to disperse worshippers at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Saturday. A similar incident was reported during the Friday prayers of Ramadan. Israeli authorities stated thousands gathered for dawn prayers and some began chanting provocative slogans and setting off fireworks near police officers. Police added 16 Palestinians were detained outside the compound.
