Israeli HC clears Netanyahu's Military Secy Gofman as Mossad chief

The Israeli High Court of Justice on Monday approved the appointment of PM Benjamin Netanyahu's Military Secretary, Roman Gofman, as the new head of Mossad, dismissing allegations of ethical violations against him in the 2022 "Elmakias affair". Gofman, who immigrated to Israel as a teenager and joined the Israel Defence Forces in 1995, will take over from David Barnea.
