Israeli tanks burst through gates of Lebanon peacekeeping base: UN

The UN said Israeli tanks "forcibly entered" through the gates of the base of its peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon. It added that 15 peacekeepers suffered skin irritation and gastrointestinal reactions due to smoke in camp caused by the firing of rounds nearby. "Your refusal to evacuate peacekeepers turned them into hostages of Hezbollah," Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu told UN.
