ISRO performed 18 manoeuvres to avert collisions of its satellites

ISRO performed 18 collision avoidance manoeuvres (CAM), 4 for satellites in geosynchronous orbit and 14 in low Earth orbit, after analysing over 1.5 lakh conjunction alerts for its 53 satellites. A CAM is a planned trajectory adjustment, where the satellite fires its thrusters to adjust its orbit. These are done when the probability of collision exceeds a safe threshold.
