ISRO's 'naughty boy' GSLV set for launch, to carry Earth observation satellite

The ISRO is set to launch its Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F17) carrying EOS -5 from Sriharikota at 2.55am on Friday. GSLV was nicknamed "naughty boy" because the rocket often displayed unpredictable behaviour during its developmental years. It will carry EOS-5, India's first imaging satellite to operate from geosynchronous orbit, 36,000 km above Earth.
