ISRO successfully tests main parachute for Gaganyaan crew capsule's safe landing

ISRO on Tuesday successfully conducted a critical Integrated Main Parachute Airdrop Test (IMAT) for the Gaganyaan Missions at the ADRDE drop zone in Madhya Pradesh. The objective was to test the main parachute system, which would slow down the Gaganyaan crew capsule before it splashes down in the sea, for its structural integrity under the maximum expected load conditions.
