ISRO to launch EOS-05 satellite for monitoring disasters on Sept 4

ISRO is preparing to launch the Earth Observation Satellite-05 (GISAT-1A) on September 4 at around 2:55 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The 2,367-kilogram satellite is meant for high resolution imaging of India's landscape which could help monitor cyclones, floods and forest fires. The previous GISAT satellite launch in 2021 failed to reach orbit due to cryogenic state malfunction.
