ISRO to set up mobile satellite terminals on 1 lakh fishing boats

ISRO's commercial arm NewSpace India will install mobile satellite service terminals on at least one lakh fishing boats across nine states and four union territories. The network will help authorities send emergency weather alerts and alert fishermen about international water border violations. India's navigation satellite system NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation) will power the network.
