ISW records 116 protests across Iran despite blackout

The Institute for the Study of War said it recorded 116 protests across 22 Iranian provinces since January 8, including 20 large rallies with over 1,000 participants. ISW noted that protests continued despite a nationwide internet shutdown imposed by the regime, warning that the scale of unrest may be straining local security forces and limiting their ability to suppress demonstrations.
