American IT firm EXL Service is cutting 800 jobs, mostly junior staff in data analytics and digital operations in the US and India. The change resulted in 400 layoffs, with the other 400 employees given the opportunity to be rehired elsewhere, WSJ reported. As part of its pivot, EXL is hiring workers with advanced data, AI and generative AI skills.
