IT group sues US immigration agency over shorter H-1B visas

ITServe Alliance, a trade association representing over 1,000 small IT companies, has sued the US immigration agency for issuing H-1B visas for less than 3 years. ITServe alleged that the agency has no authority to shorten the duration of H-1B visas. In some instances, the agency allegedly sent visa approval notices after the duration of the visas had expired.
