IT offices to stay open on Mahavir Jayanti to clear FY26 due work

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has ordered all income tax offices across India to remain open on March 31, despite it being a gazetted holiday on account of Mahavir Jayanti. The decision has been taken to clear pending assessments and departmental work of the financial year 2025-26. March 31 marks the last day of this financial year.
