India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, slammed the UN Security Council's "frozen" architecture and called out divisions among its permanent veto-wielding members. "The period of heightened activism of the Council has now faded," Parvathaneni said. UNSC's functioning now is "akin to running advanced AI technologies on the 1945 version of the computer", he added.
