IT stocks now dominate nearly 40% of major US stock market index

The Information Technology sector now accounts for 38.33% of the MSCI USA Index, which tracks the performance of the large and mid-cap segments of the US equity market, Financial Express reported. The figure has risen by more than 15 percentage points over the past four years. NVIDIA accounts for about 7.79% of the index, while Apple makes up about 6.96%.
