Filmmaker Vasan Bala reacted to Anand Gandhi's tweet where he said Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' celebrates toxic masculinity. "Kantara is nothing like Tumbbad. My idea behind Tumbbad was to use the horror as an allegory of toxic masculinity and parochialism. Kantara is a celebration of these," Anand's tweet read. Vasan responded, "Tumbbad was Rahi Anil Barve's idea...that apart haan point taken."
