It will take 217 years for the global disparities in the pay and employment opportunities of men and women to end, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF). Warning that the global gender equality gap is getting wider, the WEF said it is the first time that the "slow but steady progress" towards pay parity between the genders has halted.
