It wouldn't be very useful: Christopher Nolan on not keeping a smartphone

'Oppenheimer' director Christopher Nolan said that he doesn't carry a smartphone or use email and writes his scripts on a computer that isn't connected to the internet. Explaining his reasoning, Nolan said, "It's about the level of distraction. If I'm generating my material and writing my own scripts, being on a smartphone all day wouldn't be very useful for me."
