Italian chef fired for refusing to put pineapple on pizza

An Italian chef, Davide Tamburella, was fired in May from a now-closed restaurant in Australia's Brisbane after he refused to put pineapple on pizza, calling it an "insult to his culture". The hotel's management had informed Tamburella about complaints against him. A restaurant official said there's "more to this story than a pizza topping". Tamburella had approached Fair Work Commission.
