Italy denies US access to air base for Middle East operations

Italy has denied permission for US military aircraft to land at Sigonella ​air base in Sicily before flying to Middle East, Reuters reported. This reportedly came after Italy came to know of flight plan of some US air assets, reports added. Earlier, Spain closed its airspace to US planes involved ​in war.
