Italy eases nationwide COVID-19 lockdown after 56 days

Italy on Monday eased the nationwide lockdown imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic after 56 days. As part of the government's gradual easing of the lockdown, factories are allowed to open, restaurants and bars can only offer take-aways but most shops must stay shut till May 18. Public parks are allowed to reopen and relatives can once again meet up.
