Italy issues travel alert after Legionnaires' disease kills 4

The European Center for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning to tourists traveling to Italy about the risk of Legionnaires' disease, a deadly lung infection, which has killed 4 in Lombardy. It is a severe form of pneumonia caused by the bacterium Legionella pneumophila that spreads through inhaling droplets of water dispersed in the air.
