Italy PM reaches Lebanon, 1st leader to visit amid Israel-Hezbollah row

Italy PM Giorgia Meloni reached Lebanon on Friday, becoming the first foreign head of state to visit the country amid Israel-Hezbollah tensions. Meloni was welcomed at Beirut airport by Lebanese PM Najib Mikati. Her visit also comes amid Israeli attacks on UN positions in the country. Notably, Italy has around 1,000 troops as part of UN's peacekeeping force in Lebanon.
