Italy ready to deploy 2 minesweepers in Strait of Hormuz

Italy is ready to deploy up to four naval vessels, including two minesweepers, for an international mission to clear the Strait of Hormuz and protect shipping, Navy Chief Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto said. He added that the ships would sail from La Spezia and would take four weeks to reach the area. Italy currently has eight minesweepers in service.
