ITC overtakes HDFC to become India's 7th most-valued company

ITC on Friday overtook HDFC to become the seventh most-valued company in India in terms of market capitalisation. Shares of ITC surged nearly 2% to hit an all-time high of ₹409, taking its market capitalisation to ₹5.08 lakh crore. On Thursday, the company crossed ₹5 lakh crore in market capitalisation, becoming the 11th listed Indian company to do so.
