ITC to buy spices maker Sunrise Foods for a reported ₹1,800-2,000 crore

ITC has agreed to fully acquire spices manufacturer Sunrise Foods Private Ltd (SFPL). While the company did not disclose the value of the deal, reports estimated it to be at around ₹1,800 crore to ₹2,000 crore. This comes as the conglomerate, which already has its own "Aashirvaad" range of spices, seeks to scale up its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) business.
