Ivory Coast PM Hamed Bakayoko dies of cancer in Germany at 56

Ivory Coast's PM Hamed Bakayoko has died from cancer in the German city of Freiburg on Wednesday, two days after his 56th birthday. He was appointed Prime Minister in July, following the sudden death of his predecessor Amadou Gon Coulibaly. President Alassane Ouattara condoled Bakayoko's death and described him as a "great statesman" and an example to young people.
