Ivory Coast began their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with a late 1-0 win over Ecuador. Amad Diallo produced a strike into the bottom corner in the 90th minute to give the African side three points and their first win at the FIFA World Cup in 12 years. Ivory Coast are now placed second on the Group E points table.
