Ixigo to buy 60% stake in Spain's ticket booking platform Trenes

Board of directors of travel aggregator Ixigo approved the acquisition of a 60% stake in Spain's online train ticket booking platform, Trenes. It will acquire 6,000 equity shares of Trenes for a total consideration of €11.70 million (₹125 crore) including non-compete fees. "With this acquisition, the company aims….to unlock new growth opportunities in Europe," Ixigo said.
