Iyer was groomed to lead post Kohli-Rohit era: Ex-selector Prasad

Ex-chief selector MSK Prasad said batter Shreyas Iyer was groomed to lead India after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. "We felt that post Virat, post Rohit, you needed someone to lead the side that's when we started thinking about Shreyas Iyer or Rishabh Pant. But even ahead of Pant was Iyer as a captain," he stated.
