J&K HC quashes detention of AAP MLA Malik under PSA after 229 days

The J&K and Ladakh High Court has quashed the preventive detention of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik under the Public Safety Act (PSA) after 229 days of "prison torture". "Welcome, Mehraj Malik. Your struggle is an example for everyone," AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal said. The court observed that Doda MLA's detention was legally unsustainable and based on "non-application of mind".
