J&K Police arrests 3 'OGWs' using facial recognition system amid Amarnath Yatra

Reportedly for the first time, J&K Police used a facial recognition system (FRS) to identify and arrest three alleged Over Ground Workers (OGWs) in Sarbal area of Anantnag district. Installed for enhanced security during the Amarnath Yatra, the FRS generated real-time alerts about the suspicious individuals' movement. OGWs provide logistical or other support to militant or terrorist organisations.
