J&K revamps cancer aid scheme, raises financial support

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has revamped the Cancer Treatment and Management Fund for the Poor, raising the annual income eligibility limit to ₹4 lakh and financial assistance to ₹75,000. Eligible beneficiaries can avail of assistance up to three times, while coverage now includes PMJAY-SEHAT empanelled hospitals. Funds will be transferred directly to beneficiaries through DBT.
