J&K police book 8,675 two-wheelers over violations in 14-day drive
Traffic Police in Jammu and Kashmir booked 8,675 two-wheelers over violations in a 14-day drive across Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, and Poonch. Data showed 699 accidents from January to July 2025, which led to the death of 88 people and injured 1,001. Two-wheelers accounted for 44% of crashes. Over 5,700 were penalised for riding without helmets and 187 vehicles were seized.
