Jaahnavi Kandula's father dies 2 days before ₹262 cr US police crash settlement

The father of Jaahnavi Kandula, the Indian student killed by a speeding policeman in US' Seattle, died of a heart attack on February 10, 2026. Kandula Srikanth died a mere 48 hours before the City of Seattle awarded a ₹262 crore settlement to Jaahnavi's family. "What will we do with the money," Jaahnavi's mother said after the settlement was announced.
