A patrol boat carrying Home Guard and rescue personnel capsized in the swollen Narmada River near Gwarighat in Jabalpur on Friday. All personnel were rescued safely as life jackets helped keep them afloat. The river was nearly 30 feet above normal levels after 13 Bargi Dam gates were opened. Officials ordered an investigation into possible safety lapses and overloading.
