Jagan proposes 'MA-VI-GUN' corridor as Andhra's capital amid Amaravati push
Former Andhra Pradesh CM and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy proposed a 110-kilometre urban corridor stretching from Machilipatnam to Vijaywada and Guntur (MA-VI-GUN) as the state's capital region. His suggestion came after the Bill to make Amaravati the sole capital was passed in the Lok Sabha. Reddy criticised the Centre and the TDP-led state government for the "one-capital" push.
