Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh had proposed to form an India-Canada committee to probe India's "interference" in Canadian democracy amid ongoing diplomatic row. The proposal was rejected by Canadian parliament. Notably, Singh had also sought "severe sanctions" against Indian diplomats after Canadian authorities claimed India was working with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang to target pro-Khalistan elements.
