Jamaat-e-Islami didn't attack Hindus in Bangladesh: Party chief
Jamaat-e-Islami supremo Shafiqur Rahman has denied his party's involvement in the recent sporadic violence against Hindus in Bangladesh and attributed the negative portrayal of the party to a "malicious" media campaign. "We don't consider Hindus as minorities, they're our brothers and friends," Rahman said. Bangladesh's interim government has lifted the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and its student body.
