Actress Janhvi Kapoor charged ₹8 crore for playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan in Peddi, making it the biggest pay cheque of her career, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama citing sources. Janhvi had reportedly charged ₹5 crore for Jr NTR-starrer Devara. Peddi has faced criticism over the objectifying portrayal of Janhvi Kapoor's character.
