Japan contains one of its biggest wildfires after 11 days

Japan has contained one of its biggest wildfires after 11 days of firefighting operations, officials confirmed on Sunday. The country deployed about 1,400 military personnel and firefighters to contain the fire that burnt down over 1,600 hectares (over 3,900 acres) of land in the mountainous Iwate region. Over 3,200 people have been evacuated, while two suffered minor injuries.
