Japan plans $2.3 trillion investment push by 2040: Report
Japan plans to set a target of about 370 trillion yen ($2.3 trillion) in public and private investment by 2040 across 17 strategic sectors, Nikkei reported. The initiative is expected to prioritise areas such as AI, semiconductors and space development. The government is also considering a multi-year budget framework to provide stable funding for projects linked to economic security.
