Japan plans to work on next-generation nuclear power plant: Reports

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has planned to call for development of a new-generation nuclear power plant, according to reports. The plan, likely to be announced during a Green Transformation meeting, comes at a time when fuel prices are rising. Japan kept most of its nuclear reactors non-operational since a tsunami triggered a disaster in Fukushima in 2011.
